CHEB I SABBAH (six degrees)
Cheb i Sabbah left his native Algeria in the 1960s, and has made a career out of blending music from all over the world into kaleidoscopic, dance-floor mixes ever since. His first three masterful albums for Six Degrees Records, Shri Durga (1999), MahaMaya - Shri Durga ReMixed (2000), and Krishna Lila (2002), are cult classics in which India's time-honored traditions merge with the universe of possibilities afforded by contemporary recording technology. This trilogy established him as a unique artist who creates bridges between
cultures with a deeply moving sound drawn from DJ wizardry and world music aesthetics. His attention to detail is reflected in his reverence for his sources and his unique approach to electronic music. "I am a traditionalist more than anything. I try to keep a certain amount of respect so you hear the tradition of the music. What I try to do with producing music is make more of a balance between where it comes from -- the source of it, the tradition of it -- and bring in the dance sound."

EL PAPACHANGO (el circo)
Half papa, half monkey, really means Universe! Diego Novoa aka El Papachango grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he began his career as sound engineer and dj, tinkering around with speakers and amps at the ripe age of fifteen. In 1997, Diego moved to Ashland, Oregon, where he fell in love with the magic of "La Pacha Mama"
(Mother Earth). It was this romance that birthed El Circo, the multimedia production company encompassing performance, music, video,
fashion, installations, all underneath the ceiling of a giant geodesic dome and surrounded with Bag End bass. They call him El Papachango because he mixes from a diverse palette of electro, ragga, breaks, and hip-hop, creating a musical journey that has Universal appeal: sassy, playful, suave, and sometimes downright naughty, but always with a spicy Latin flavor.

Salon K
Salon K is modern rock with an emphasis on jazz, blues and international flavors. The songs are deeply unique, with an accessible pop flavor and the right amount of originality to taste new. The music can be appreciated both recorded and live. Their performances have been described as "highly dynamic and seriously entertaining."

SHAWNA (el circo)

There, she was exposed to musical genius from all over the planet, which greatly refined her ear for the subtleties and origins of all types of music. At 18 she began pursuing mostly world fusion, "down tempo", and ambient, always searching for that same quality of depth in the electronic realm. She has since collected a vast diversity from hip hop, dub, dancehall and world fusion to idm, house, tech and electro. Always eclectic, her diverse tastes are brought to the dance floor where she aims to find something for everyone in every set, as well as to attend to as many of the emotional/ego realms from sexy to uplifting spirited bliss.

Don't miss out on this highly energetic performance as he tears it up on three turntables, killing it with his out-of-control mixing abilities and unstoppable scratch rhythms. OOAH has been blowing up sound systems up and down the west coast and across seas to the Hawaiian Islands keepin' the crouds hyped and the subs bumpin'!!

JUPITER (thedolab)
special set with TIM HAUSER
Jupiter, often referred to as the utility guy of LA’s underground sound scene, has come a long way since venturing out to his first experience of warehouse enlightenment and connection nearly 8 years ago. With a full sound including Jazz, Funk, Fusion and Middle Eastern melodies, UO shakes and grooves to a wide spectrum of instrumental exploration. Together, the musical boundaries that this band can conquer from show to show have become limitless, giving audiences a unique experience with every show.

You may have seen him playing metal poles or plastic buckets on the streets of San Francisco, or with The Free Energy Project, a musical production powered by solar energy. A rare find, Maximillian is an accomplished musician who brings a wealth of skill and talent to his sets. Deftly blending ecclectic breakbeats with electro and hip hop, he draws from cd's, vinyl and laptop to create mash-ups, mixes and remixes on the fly. His infectious sets are becoming a favorite among dj's in the San Francisco.

PATRICIO (laba)
The energy level always rises when Patricio steps behind the tables. Whether on the beach in La Caseta, Argentina or the El Circo Dome at Burning Man, Patricio is guaranteed to whip a crowd into frenzy. ROOTABREAKA
Three Djs joined together, out to provide the world with funky beats, and open peoples minds to new party experiences. Once he moved to Los Angeles he spent several years working as a DJ for a local entertainment company doing corporate events, weddings and private parties. He then started a weekly event called “Monday Night Playtime” where fire dancers and DJ’s could come to play and practice in a safe ego-free environment, which is when, with the encouragements of several of his DJ friends, Sammy picked up the House bug. So get ready for a best music your ears will ever hear when you come to check out the man known as BRIAN MCGUIRE.

JESSE WRIGHT (pocket)
A bit about me?  Sure, I love talking about myself.  The fact of the matter is...I have no idea what I'm going to do every time I hit the decks.  Which makes things interesting to say the least.  Any time someone comes to one of my gigs, the set is as unexpected to them as it is to me. I get asked what my genre is a lot as well, and to that I say "Fuck Genre!" and then I chase whoever asked me that around the room for a while.  Honestly, if I had to sum it up, I would say some where in the progressive tech funk realm.  But I hate to limit myself too much.  As a kid, I was a class clown, starved (or so it would seem) for interaction.  DJ-ism gives me that interaction with all kinds of freaky people many of whom have become life-long friends and have added so much color into my life.  So, to sum it up, I'm a DJ because we get free drinks.

CASSIDY HALEY
Cassidy combines a rock influenced electronic sound with elements of avant garde fashion and performance art. Born from the rich soil of the Bay Area underground and solidified in the depths of

A recent partnership in Los Angeles' Sacred Sound Yoga has added yet another layer to the experience soon to be unveiled.

THE STOVE
Exploration of sound and innovative collaboration of music is the philosophy behind The Stove. Originally formed in 1997, producer Eduard Glukhov evisioned a single cell orchestra. Proving the fact that you don't need a bass player or a drumer to be a band. The Stove is nearly uncatagorizable because their sound ranges from trip-hop to jazz to ambient to jungle. Needless to say, they are extremely haunting with hypnotically
dark rhythms. Fronted by songstress Kristen Muirhead, The Stove relies on her muse-scream/ siren-dream/angel-cre voice with beautifully integrated harmonies. Accompanied by classically trained violinist Katya Murafa, who delicately decorates the music with her eastern European gypsy accents. Deeply influenced by Aphex Twin, Portishead, Ninja Tune, Nine Inch Nails, Tori Amos and Bjork. The Stove is an artistically futuristic combination of organic and electronic sounds!!!

IAN (space island)
I've never been a flake and I'm never phony, I've got more flavor than a packet of Macaroni. Trust in everyone of my statements, they're more concrete than pavement. Never put me in your beatbox if your shit eats tapes. Let me hit it from the back girl I wont get ta hurt ya, bust off on your couch, now you got semen furniture.

BEN WRIGHT (the do lab)
Who is Ben Wright? He is the guy in the back of "thedolab" warehouse who cuts fabric for a living. And so the privelage of performing at "Lightning in a Bottle" fell on his lap due to the pitty that was felt by the do lab team. He is also a veteran of playing solo shows in his loft to himself at the wee hours of the evening. Get ready festival goers and dont forget your tomatoes in your picnic baskets.
