Our
Commitment to Mother Earth

Solar
Powered Stages and Sound
The
primary power source for sound on our stages will be a solar power installation
built on-site just for LIB. The installation will be setup the week prior
to the event and placed in the middle of the grounds for festival goers
to check out. The solar panels are being provided by Energy
Efficiency Solar Electric Solutions, who have been providing residential
and commercial solar power solutions in Southern California since 1989.
Share the Ride
SpaceShare
is teaming up with Columbia
Gorge Organics and creating a rideboard for Lightning in a Bottle.
Find neighbors who love the same music as you do, make connections at
LIB then carpool all summer. If there are two people and four seats in
your car, one quick search will let you fill your car or leave it behind.

Our Tickets
We are providing tickets for our event through In Ticketing. In Ticketing
is the leading environmentally-friendly ticketing agency, and they are
connected, motivated and inspired to create change. They use sustainable
practices, recycled materials, initiate tree plantings, support green
events, and help build communities. The part that sold us, though, is
that they print their tickets on Hemp/Flax ticket stock with soy inks,
and they mail them in tree-free envelopes. Every business in the world
should take a look at their example and start to follow In Ticketing.
Bio Diesel
In case our wonderful solar panels decide not to work, our back-up generators
at LIB will be run with bio fuel, reducing the emissions drastically.
We are working towards a future LIB when all event vehicles and engines
are run on bio fuel.
